DESCRIPTIONS
DESCRIPTIONSNewcastle - City of Geordies
Newcastle upon Tyne is one of the most iconic cities in Britain, famous for its industrial heritage, brown ale, popular nightlife and 'Geordie' dialect. With rich architecture, from Roman to Georgian to postmodernist, its Grey Street is considered one of the most beautiful streets in the UK. And Antony Gormley's mind-blowing Angel of the North sculpture can be found very nearby in Gateshead.
Newcastle's story is written along the Tyne. Roman origins, a medieval castle, elegant Georgian streets and the engineering of its great bridges combine with the industrial heritage that gave the city its famously strong identity.
Our skyline brings together Central Station, Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas, The Black Gate and Castle Keep, capturing some of the architecture and landmarks that make Newcastle unmistakable.
Exclusively by Siluet‚ where cities become stories, and stories become home.
