Abu Dhabi – One of the world’s most modern cities

The origin of the name Abu Dhabi is uncertain, but when translated directly from Arabic, it means ‘Father of the Gazelle’. Japanese architect Dr Takahashi designed the stunning city in 1967 with the guidance of Sheikh Zayed, the founding father behind the formation of the UAE. Today skyscrapers dot its mystical skyline in a symphony of glass.
